15.06.2010 — In Israel the bassist of VV was awarded scientific degree or Adventures of VV on the Dead Sea
At the end of last week «Vopli Vidopliassova» returned from Israel where they played two successful concerts – in Tel Aviv it took place in the club «Teatron» and in Haifa – in the real theatre called «Rappoport».Next day travelers took expedition to a renowned Dead Sea, which distinguished by seriocomic nature. Guys always dreamed to know whether it is really impossible to get drowned in Yām ha-Melaḥ . Next morning after the performance in the theatre «Rappoport» our scientists-amateurs boarded on the Dead coast. The Sea happened to be the ordinary – transparent, salt and wet. They got to the beach and quickly rushed into the water. Then unexpected started. Nobody noticed that bass-guitarist Lyosha Melnichenko who carelessly crossed the line with the booths didn’t scream, didn’t laugh but started to dive often to wag his arms and all-in-all behaved suspicious. At a distance it seemed to be a bad joke and friends advised him to calm down while he had ingested a lot of water and disappeared. Only then everybody understood that it wasn’t a game. By co-operative efforts a weedy Archimedes was taken to the beach and then for a long time he was sitting on the sand shaking small hippocampuses out of the ears.
On the way to airport the academic council of the band «VV» summarized the experiment and came to following conclusions : 1) the main result of the experiment became the discovery of unprecedented scientific phenomenon namely: thanks to the influence of super basses on the density of matter gravitation acts upon bass-guitarists with double strength; 2) for personal heroism and indisputable loyalty to the science awarded Melnychenko Oleksyi Grygorovych with honorable degree of associate research fellow with a right of extraordinary defend of thesis profile.
